Privacy Policy

PromptGenie ("the app") is provided by Applix Studio. This document describes how we handle information when you use the app. By using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. App permissions and why we need them

The app requests certain permissions so core features work:

• Internet – To load AI-generated prompts, categories, favorites, subscription status, and other app content from our servers.

• Notifications – For app-related messages and updates. You can turn these off in your device settings.

• Billing – Used by the system for in-app subscriptions via Google Play; we do not read or store your payment details.

You can revoke or deny permissions in your device settings; some features may then be unavailable.

2. What data we collect and why

Prompts and app content: All prompts shown in the app are AI-generated and loaded from our servers, along with related preview images. You can browse, view, copy, and share them inside the app. You do not need to create a username or password account to use PromptGenie.

Using prompts outside the app: When you copy a prompt, you may paste it into any AI platform you choose on your own device — for example ChatGPT, Midjourney, Gemini, or any other AI tool. PromptGenie does not send your data to those platforms. How those services handle your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Favorites: When you save a prompt as a favorite inside the app, that choice is stored so your Favorites list stays available on your device and when you use the app again.

Reports: If you use Report a Problem (from Settings or the flag icon on a prompt), you may select a reason and optionally add a short note. We may receive the prompt ID, prompt title, preview image URL, report reason, and note so our team can review AI-generated content or app issues.

Feedback: If you tap Send Feedback in Settings, your device email app opens. We only receive information you choose to send us by email.

Share: If you share the app or a prompt using your device share menu, PromptGenie does not read or store what you send through other apps unless you contact us separately.

Advertising: The app shows ads via Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to users who are not Premium subscribers. AdMob may collect data for ad delivery, analytics, and fraud prevention. You can limit or reset ad tracking in your device settings. Google advertising policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

Rewarded ads: Some prompts may require you to watch a rewarded ad before you can unlock or generate them. This happens only when you choose that action inside the app.

Subscriptions: If you subscribe to Premium, we receive transaction and entitlement data to manage your access. Payments are processed by Google Play; we do not store payment details.

Usage and stability: We use analytics and crash reporting to improve the app. This can include anonymized usage and error data.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your activity inside the app for third-party marketing.

3. How we use your information

We use the data described above to show AI-generated prompts and categories from our servers, save your favorites, manage Premium subscriptions, operate and improve the app, show ads and measure ad performance, send notifications you have agreed to, respond to reports and support requests, and protect against misuse.

4. Content safety and moderation

All prompts in PromptGenie are AI-generated content provided by us for creative and informational use. We do not guarantee that every prompt is accurate, complete, or suitable for every purpose.

The app provides an in-app reporting tool so you can flag any prompt or general app issue you believe violates our policies. Reports are reviewed and can lead to removal of the reported content.

You are responsible for how you use copied prompts in any external AI platform. Do not use the app to create, copy, or share content that is unlawful, harmful, hateful, defamatory, deceptive, or that infringes the rights of others.

5. Third-party services and their privacy policies

The app uses the following third-party services. Each may collect and process data as described in its own privacy policy:

Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) – In-app advertising. Privacy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

Firebase (Google) – Analytics, crash reporting, push notifications. Privacy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Google Play – In-app purchases and subscriptions. Privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

RevenueCat – Subscription and entitlement management. Privacy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

If you choose to open an external link or leave the app to use any AI platform on your own (for example ChatGPT, Midjourney, or Gemini), that service is independent of PromptGenie and handles your information under its own privacy policy.

6. Security

We use standard technical measures to protect data sent between your device and our systems. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure.

7. How long we keep data

• Favorites – Kept while you use the app so your list remains available. You can remove favorites at any time inside the app.

• Reports – Kept as long as needed to review and address the report.

• Subscription data – Retained while you use the app and as needed for legal and support purposes.

• Analytics – In anonymized or aggregated form; retention follows our provider policies.

• Ad-related data – Subject to AdMob retention practices; you can reset your advertising ID in device settings.

8. Your choices and rights

You can remove prompts from your Favorites at any time, change or revoke app permissions in your device settings, turn off notifications in system settings, limit or reset ad personalization in device settings, and cancel a subscription via your Google Play account. To request access to or deletion of your data, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We will respond to legitimate requests in line with applicable law.

9. Children privacy and age of use

PromptGenie is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a person under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details at the end of this policy and we will take steps to delete it.

10. When we share data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only with advertising partners for ad serving, measurement, and fraud prevention; with service providers that help us operate the app, under confidentiality and use limits; or when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The Last updated date below will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
